1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Prevna (prevna.com and associated mobile applications), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

Prevna is a free emergency preparedness platform that helps users create personalized readiness plans, manage supply inventories, and track preparedness progress. The core platform is provided at no cost. Optional purchases are available through the Preparedness Shop, and voluntary donations are accepted through pay-what-you-want links.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Automated account creation is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Submit false information in community reports.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically access the platform without permission.
• Interfere with the platform's operation or infrastructure.

5. Preparedness Information Disclaimer

Prevna provides general emergency preparedness guidance based on publicly available best practices and mathematical calculations. This information is for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional emergency management, medical, financial, or legal advice. Always follow instructions from local emergency authorities during an actual emergency. Prevna is not a substitute for official emergency services (call 911 or your local equivalent in an emergency).

6. Payments and Refunds

Shop purchases are processed through Stripe. Physical goods are subject to our return policy (30 days, unused condition). Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. All prices are displayed in the currency selected by the user and include applicable processing fees.

7. Community Reports

Community emergency reports are user-submitted and may not be verified. Prevna does not guarantee the accuracy of community reports. False reports submitted intentionally may result in account suspension. By submitting a report, you confirm it reflects your genuine observation.

8. Intellectual Property

The Prevna platform, including its design, code, calculations, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your personalized plans and data belong to you. You grant Prevna a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Prevna is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prevna shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, reliance on preparedness recommendations during actual emergencies.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Prevna after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
